| Double 3 (2002) |
|||
Double 3, scored for trumpet and vibraphone, was commissioned by Duo
Contour: Lee Forrest Ferguson and Stephen Altoft. Over the course
of the composition (lasting approximately four minutes) the two
instrumental lines begin similarly, diverge in material and register at
the center of the composition, then gradually reunite by the end for a unison duet. Other works in the series include Double 1 (flute/marimba) and Double 2 (violin/marimba).
